"I booked Trewithen Restaurant as a surprise treat for my husband. I couldn't have chosen better. We were greeted warmly and seated in the small front dining room where the table was decorated with confetti birthday greetings, which I thought was a lovely touch...We felt we had incredible service and just wish we lived nearer as we would certainly be regulars!"

"Just wonderful. I'd give it ten stars if I could. A beautiful atmospheric building, friendly efficient staff, welcoming atmosphere and the most fantastic food. Better than many London restaurants."

"Delicious food, lovely garden, wonderful service. This is a little gem in a lovely location. We had megrim sole which was perfectly cooked and would have cost twice as much in London. Lovely home made bread with a choice of butters and oil meant we couldn't manage puddding but the choices were unusual and lovely. Exceptional service from a lovely team too. Reviewed 18 June 2015"

"Fantastic wine list with good selection of whites and reds from old and new world plus. For the quality and variety, the pricing is terrific. It is a small and intimate place and if you want very good food and service in unpretentious surroundings make sure to book a meal here."

"They serve modern British with the accent on local venison, halibut, sea bass, local beef, welfare-friendly local veal and much more. The food is unfussy but well loved - they don't call it a 'jus' they call it a sauce - and Claire has to be the warmest, friendliest front of house I've ever met. The atmosphere of laughter, families of kids to grandparents and good, local produce makes it a must eat."

"This is such a lovely little restaurant. Fresh cooked local food is gorgeous. Staff are lovely and very attentive. Dont hesitate - you won't be diussapointed."

"We ate here while staying in Lostwithiel. It is a very small, intimate and cosy restaurant. The welcome you receive is first class. The staff made us feel very relaxed and seemed very happy in their work. The food is excellent. A good wine list. There are no negatives to report, a must visit place if you want quality and that special feel. Cant wait to return."
